Description
Plant in full sun in well-drained neutral to slightly acidic soil after soil warms in spring. Do not expect blooms the first year; flowering may take up to three years. Mature plants bloom from late spring to late summer. Water new plants well during first growing season; will prosper even in drought-like conditions when established. Attracts butterflies and Is a critical food source for the Monarch butterfly.Produces seed pods that release silky-tailed seeds to disperse on the wind.
